Goodwin analysis - Narrative
NARRATIVE
1) This video does not match the genre characteristics of the music, as the actors in the video do not dress the same as the people that would typically listen to the style of music.
2) There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals as the lyrics talk about letting someone go and the man in the video uses the women as sex objects and then leaves them.
3) The video does change to the beat of the music, so there is a link between visuals and the music.
4) There are no shots of the artist in the music video
5) The women in the video are seen and used as sex objects
6) There is a slight reference to films and tv series's such as the film Harry Brown, the music video is also a representation of the show Jeremy Kyle.
7) This video is a hyper-real version of reality, as people do not actually behave that way in real life, it is an exaggerated version of how people really behave.
